Oil Seed Preparation

- Seed Drying
Driers are needed especially for the high moisture seed before storage. Our drier is continuous type vertical design for effective utilization of heat on counter current flow. The ideal moisture is 11% for soyabean and 8% max for high oil content seeds.
- Cleaning and Sorting
The first step involves cleaning the soybeans to remove impurities such as dirt, stones, and other impurities. The seeds are also sorted to ensure uniformity.
- Cracking and Dehulling
Soybeans have a tough outer hull that needs to be removed. This is typically done through cracking and dehulling processes, separating the hull from the kernel.
- Conditioning
The cleaned soybeans may undergo conditioning, which involves heat treatment and moisture adjustment to facilitate subsequent processing.
- Flaking
The conditioned beans are flaked to facilitate the extraction of oil. Flaking involves pressing of conditioned beans thru rolls into thin flakes.
- Expander
The use of an expander in soybean processing contributes to the overall efficiency of oil extraction and the production. It’s important to note that specific expander designs and operating parameters may vary from one product to another.
Our expander operation is auto regulated for consistent product quality & high efficiency.
Oil Extraction
Oil Extraction: The prepared soybeans are then subject to the solvent extraction process, where the oil is separated from the soybean flakes/ collets. Main process involves extraction, desolventisation, distillation and solvent recovery.

The effective counter current flow of solvent(food grade hexane) and flakes/collets for complete extraction of oil with efficient use of solvent.
- DTDC
Vertical, multi-stage design. Slow-moving agitator arms in each stage agitate the meal for complete desolventisation. Twin-angle design arms to ensure adequate sweep with minimum electrical power. For better desolventization and toasting, it includes a pneumatic float and door system to regulate the height of the bed at each stage.
- Distillation
Multiple columns for complete separation of solvent from oil, using minimum heat (steam). Vacuum operation by mild temperature to assure light-coloured oil.
- Miscella Refining
We have developed miscella refining for cotton seed processing along with online soap drying system.
- Latest development
We have done extensive research on pilot plant and have the remarkable achievement in low temperature distillation of miscella which has resulted in low red in crude oil produced by our plants. We assure red at lowest. This helps reduction in refining cost.
